I have provided Obstetrical and Gynecologic services in Knoxville since 1990. During that time I have been involved with the care of thousands of patients. I have enjoyed the many late nights and crying babies. The medical and surgical challenges that my patients have overcome have provided me with countless stories of inspiration. My personal challenge has always been to be an advocate for my patients and to provide them with the most innovative technology for their gynecologic healthcare.

I formed Innovative Gynecology, PLLC as a way to more readily provide the most up to date services for women. I hope to replace much of the traditional thinking regarding women’s medical problems. I believe that it should not be acceptable to have to wait till problems become severe before we are trying to address them. We are blessed with a variety of new technologies that allow correction of many common problems without the physical, emotional, and social impact that were commonplace in the past. We can’t cure everything at Innovative Gynecology but we will always provide a warm smile and an attentive ear.

Innovative Gynecology Services:

Endometrial Ablation for the relief of heavy menstrual cycles. I offer both Novasure as well as Thermachoice technologies. These procedures can be performed in an office setting or in an outpatient surgical setting. There is minimal down time and approximately a 90% cure rate. Don’t let your periods run your life. Essure Tubal Sterilization. Essure is the safest way for a woman who has completed childbearing to permanently block her tubes. This is designed to be a minor surgery with most women leaving the office within 15 minutes of completion of the procedure.

TransObturator Sling for stress urinary incontinence. Do you leak urine if you cough, sneeze, or try to play with your children? You may have stress incontinence. We can now cure this embarrassing problem in 90% of the cases with a simple outpatient surgery. Don’t wait till you need depends undergarments. I offer the Monarc, TVT-O, and the new Secur options. The days of the high failure, major incision, prolonged recovery surgeries are gone.

Laparoscopic hysterectomy to avoid the recovery associated with major incisions and to speed the recovery process. I perform both supracervical as well as total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Have you been told that you need to have an abdominal hysterectomy because of a previous cesarean section or because your ovaries need to be removed? You may be a candidate for the laparoscopic approach. I accomplished the first robotic hysterectomy in Knoxville using the daVinci robotic system.

Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation for the enhancement of female sexual gratification. Designer Laser Vaginoplasty for the enhancement and beautification of the external female genitalia. LVR and DLV were developed for women by listening to the concerns of women. I have received the personal training of Dr. David Matlock to become an LVRIA associate. Dr. Matlock is the innovator of the LVR/DLV surgeries.

In office Urodynamics Testing. If you are experiencing issues with urinary leakage then this simple group of tests can define your exact problem. The tests are generally painless and take 15 minutes to perform. By defining the exact cause of urinary leakage we can more accurately recommend corrective action and greatly reduce the chances of failure.
